Pearce +2 grip extension question
Hey all, I've been kicking around the idea of adding the pearce +2 grip extension to my Glock 26. I was wondering if anyone here uses them and if so have you had any problems w/ them such as FTF or just anything in general.
Thanks

Re: Pearce +2 grip extension question
I do not have a 26, or the extension.
But I'll thro my opinion on the matter
Personally, I'd leave the grip/mag butt plate stock. The whole point of the 26 is the short girp/ease of concealment.
If you think you would like the +2 extension, i'd just sell/trade the 26 and get a 19. . . . .
This is just my opinion.

Re: Pearce +2 grip extension question
My preference would be to use a Glock 19 magazine (with or without a sleeve) in your Glock 26, IF you want an extended grip.

Re: Pearce +2 grip extension question
I have one of my G26 mags with it and love it. Well made and fits perfect.

Re: Pearce +2 grip extension question
I have a G26, but while I don't have the Pearce extensions, I do use the Scherer extensions on two of my magazines.
If I am wearing the Glock in a OWB, I will use the magazines with the extensions.
If I am carrying IWB or in an ankle holster, I use the standard magazines without the extensions.

Re: Pearce +2 grip extension question
Thanks everyone for your input. I think I might go ahead and install one then take it to the range and put a couple boxes of ammo through it and see how things go. I will defiantly keep at least one of my mags with the stock base plate, in my opinion it is hard to beat when it comes to a easy to conceal carry gun.
Thanks again.Last edited by H_McCarty216; May 30th, 2010 at 06:24 AM.

Re: Pearce +2 grip extension question
I have two mags on my 26 with and 1 without. I like them alot! No FTF or FTE at all. I also own a G19 and once you put the extension on the grip they are almost identical in size. So as stated above, for deep concealment go without. For owb carry or open carry go with!

Re: Pearce +2 grip extension question
Don't get the Pearce ones - Get OEM Glock +2 base plates. I have used both on my 27 when I still EDC'd it, and the difference in quality is noticeable.
I would get failures to lock on empty chamber w/ the Pearce (using the stock mag spring AND Wolff extra powers), as well as an occasional FTF...
I actually bought several G27 mags that came w/ the Glock OEM +2 extension... Flawless through lots of rounds... Perhaps those OEM +2 mag/baseplates came w/ extra power springs - Not sure...
IMO, they are the perfect solution to "pinky-hang," and they really don't affect the back strap geometry much at all (and thus don't print much more either).
HTH...
Regards,
Bones
