    Yep I followed that test for a few months a while back... The most impressive part of it all in my mind is, according to Todd:

    "As I said, the P30 still runs fine until it’s been heated up by hundreds of rounds of rapid fire. So the gun is still going to be shot on a regular basis, just not allowed to get as too-hot-to-touch. We’ll see how well it still functions under more normal circumstances. We’ll post an update once a month (P30 30th, anyone?) so folks can continue to track progress.

    If all goes according to plan, we’ll hit 100,000 rounds before the end of the year… "

    So even missing a nice chunk of the frame after 90,000+ rds., it is still usable for all but the most intense rates of fire... Amazing...

    Regards,

    Bones

    Quick math assuming he used factory ammo.

    91300 = 913 100rnd boxes of WWB ammo
    913 x ~$25/box = $22825 in ammo
    $22825/322 days = roughly $71/day on ammo

    Damn, I need a better job.

    Don't feel bad.. HK paid for the pistol and all the ammo he could possibly shoot... He posted pics on HKPro several months ago of a 50,000 rd. brick of Federal American Eagle 124 FMJ (along w/ 2k rds of HST 124 +P) that HK had sent to his training facility...

    Now he's torture testing the HK45... He's already something like 15k deep after only a few weeks, and zero stoppages of any kind.... Imagine what shooting 90,000 rds of .45 will cost!!!

    Bones
