Glock 34 Sight Upgrade.. Any suggestions?
I just scored a new Glock 34 and after about 200 rounds into it's first range trip I decided the stock adjustable sights are not my bag by any stretch.
I was thinking the XS sights or maybe same sort of Ghost ring type sight. This pistol is used for tactical shooting, so I don't need same hole type sights, just ultra fast target acquisition.
Any suggestions?Last edited by Fr0sty; May 26th, 2010 at 06:17 PM. Reason: Edited to fix typo (some to SAME)

I haven't personally tried them but I have seen video demonstrations and they definitely do seem to provide rapid target acquisition. They are ugly as hell but form follows function. I like the fact that they come with all 5 color inserts so you can mix and match as you see fit.

I'm using the Sevigny Competition sight set. Fiber optic front with the sevigny fixed rear sights. I like them very much.

I know I didn't post long ago asking for suggestions, but I decided on the XS Big dot sight system. I will update how they are when I get them, Midway should have them to me in a couple of days. I am still open to suggestions in case I do not like this set.
Thanks for the suggestions thus far

I prefer the Dawsons on my G35. Fiber optic for easy tracking and .100 wide for tight shots. Best of both worlds.

I got these on my G17 and I'm pretty happy with them. The front sight is pretty narrow so it gives you pretty big gaps on either side of the sight. You get a lot of light and it makes for quick aquisition. It does take a little getting used to when shooting groups at a distance but once you get used to the sight picture they are great.

Re: Glock 34 Sight Upgrade.. Any suggestions?
I just got done with the sight install and I am pretty happy with how they look. I can already tell it will aid with my "both eyes open" shooting. I went with the standard sized dot over the ultra big one due to the length\size of some of the targets being shot. Install took about 10mins from unwrap to a complete install waiting for the thread locker to dry. In a couple of hours it will be ready to shoot. I won't get a chance to take it to the range until tomorrow after work. I worked my press pretty hard lately so I have plenty of rounds for the learning curve.

The standard dot is great, the big dot is just a bigger white border (same sized tritium vial) and too big for my tastes. I use the standard dot front on my Smith and Wesson 386 Mountain Lite custom carry with extreme duty fixed rear sights and it is a damn good set up. +1 for the standard dot...
