    looks like you might be right on that, I think there is a whole other thread on that issue somewhere around here.

    In the midst of that thread, I contacted ATF for clarification and they finally got back to me. Unless you want to go NFA, pistol to rifle is a one-way transformation. No going back with the narrow exception allowed for the T/C kit and similar kits.

    It's a silly rule but those are the rules that we have to live with.
