Funny, I OC at the bank all the time and there has never been so much as a strange look from anyone, including the bank staff ...... but then again we have been customers there for as long as I can remember

I would have just told her I would like to close my account and I need to speak with your manager to inform her why all my money is leaving the bank today.

Then they would have handed me 33 dollars and laughed at me as I left. :-(

Its a bank. Its also private property. Whether they have a policy or not, if they ask you to not carry in there, you should abide. If they ask you leave, then certainly abide, or find yourself arrested.

If a bank manager had told him to leave, then yes I would have left. But a teller, who even admits it is NOT the bank's policy to prohibit guns, telling him not to carry seems like a pretty weak case for a trespassing charge. JMHO.

That's why I first clarified that it was NOT their policy. At this point, it was just the teller's personal opinion.

I work for a bank and other than them prohibiting the employees from carrying weapons I've never heard of any regulations at my bank regarding customers carrying guns or weapons of any kind.

Having said that I would have been very suspicious if someone came in OCing when I worked in a branch. Probably would have never taken my eyesoff Him/her. Honestly I wish they permitted employees to carry. Might cut down on a few robberies.

I went to the bank today and the money people were making a drop off. I decided to go through the drive-through for the first time in a decade.

"You shouldn't" is what was said, which states opinion. "You can't", on the other hand...
