Open Carry in Philadelphia
I was thinking of ocing in Philly. I know the laws, but is it worth it? Should I just conceal carry anyway? Any experiences good or bad is greatly welcomed

Re: Open Carry in Philadelphia
Is it legal? With a valid license/permit with a state we have reciprocity with, yes. Is it worth it? That is a judgment call only you can make. While the laws of the Commonwealth apply to all the cities & states, Philadelphia has a long and storied history of ignoring laws it doesn't like or enforcing opinions the officer has.
You may open carry a dozen times with nothing more to show than a few looks. You may open carry once and end up arrested, charged, your weapon confiscated and you on the hook for legal fees.
Speaking only for myself, I would not open carry in Philadelphia. For me, the risk is not justified. I will confess to taking the path of least resistance. Would I change my stance if I were in a large group? Maybe. Would I carry in Philadelphia? Every day.
As with all things, you alone have to decide what your level of comfort is. If open carry in Philly is something you are willing to do knowing that you could end up a headline, then by all means, have a ball.

If you don't know who your state legislators are go here:

put your zip plus 4 in the box in the upper right hand corner.
