Default IWB Holster That Sits Low

I am looking for a good leather holster for my PF9 that sits low I have bought an Uncle Mikes IWB and it rides high Have also looked at acouple of others and seem to sit at the same height as the UM. I made one out of thin leather and it sits lower so just the grip sticks out and it is very comfy cant even tell it is there the only problem is it does not reholster because the leather is to soft I have to take it off and reholster. I have looked online but how do I order if i dont know how it will sit.

just reinforce the opening with another piece of leather. wet it and form it around a very well oiled gun. let it dry. it should stay open.

Tried that. It was wet formed after it was sewed and added a thick pcs to the top edge. Came out great took the shape of the gun It holds the gun in with out any worries of it falling out. It is just to thin and the center sort of smushes when i try to reholster dont know if There is a way to stiffen it any further.

I have to sometimes slightly open the front of my IWB holster with my thumb while reholstering.....sometimes.

I'm more worried about it coming out smoothly then going back in smoothly because if it comes out you damn well better believe that it's because I felt that my life was in danger, and it's not going back in until the threat is stopped.

I feel the same way it draws perfect no issues there but if I go to the range would like to be able to reholster when checking targets and bull shiting. For range use I use the UM but is not comfortable at all.

I use a Bianchi Covert for my Colt Gold Cup. It is very comfortable and sits pretty low, I guess you could say draw a line from the grip to the top of the frame and that's where it squares off (roughly) to the belt.

I'll have the wife snap a couple pics so you can at least get a rough idea what it looks like with live wear. I don't know if I can send them via PM or not, never tried but at the least if you want I can probably link them to the thread, just trying to keep my picture count down on plaxo, so if I have to thread them let me know when I can delete them.

Minotaur MTAC. Best IWB I've used, period.

    Get it here:

I recommend the USA Ultimate Second Amendment by Galco.

Or the UDC Ultra Deep Cover by Galco, has the reinforced opening.
