S&W .32 Pistol made in 1905
I just found out my father has a 105 year old revolver he inherited from his family! My mom never let him tell us he had it until I started getting into pistols.
I was asking them if they wanted to maybe go to the range and try out my guns when on vacation this weekend - then my MOM E-mails and says "Well your dad finally got bullets for his gun..." WTF!
I think it might be a .32 Long revolver - will try and get pictures this weekend. I hope I am in line for inheriting it! Not sure what model it is yet, but he said he just got .32 Long cartridges for it.
ETA: he said it is a S&W pistol in .32 Long caliber, double action triggerLast edited by falcn; May 26th, 2010 at 09:55 AM.

I don't think he wants to get rid of it just yet. After all he just got bullets for it.

Cal. .32 S&W Long. I'd bet dollars to donuts it's a Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector (revolver).
Bet also it's very much like this one see: http://www.cabelas.com/gun-inventory...sw32-boi.shtml

Probably an I frame 3 to 4 inch barrel. Made four or five variations on the basic model. India rubber grips and make certain that they are 0.32 longs, preferably wad cutters as these will be light loads. Make absolutely certain that they are not 0.32 magnum roads as they will do nasty things to a 105 year old gun. I have one from 1915 from its serial number. Still puts holes where it should do when I do my part. However, I reload for it so that the loads are safe. Dave_n

Re: S&W .32 Pistol made in 1905
I know it is a revolver - don't know why I typed pistol - duh on me - edited my OP with updated information and correct terminology.
It is a hand ejector model - S&W Wesson Revolver, .32 Long caliber, double action trigger.
I will definitely get some pictures and verify the model this weekend. I am excited to see it.
I was so surprised about this since my mom was overly protective of us growing up (from my perspective), and growin up in NJ guns were not very common things (though moreso than now in NJ). We weren't even allowed to have BB guns. He did good at keeping the secret all these years!Last edited by falcn; May 26th, 2010 at 10:00 AM.

Those .32 hand ejectors can be quite beautiful Revolvers, a couple years ago American Rifleman mgazine did a spread on them, -mouthwatering.

Pictures now posted in this thread in Gun Pictures....not sure that he is correct in the year being 1905 based on the 6 digit serial number.
