Wow that's pretty cheap. So what's the difference between the difference generations? Anyone know?

How can an ar-15 lower receiver shoot multiple calibers? Can it shoot 5.56 NATO? How about 7.62x51 NATO? Also, how does it differ from other lower receivers?

An AR15 receiver would not fit 7.62NATO, but there are many other cartridges with dimensions closer to the 5.56/223 with can be chambered. Like the 7.62x39, 45acp, 9mm, 222rem, 222Rem Mag, etc, etc.

just look at the physical size difference between a 308 and a 223. There is no way a 308 will fit in the magwell of an AR15, thats why there are AR10's. lol

Anything of comparable size to 5.56x45 or smaller. You just need to swap out the upper. Anything larger, like .308, .50, etc, will need a larger receiver to fit wider magazines/ammunition.

But this receiver can definitely handle the pressure produced by 5.56 NATO loads, right? I did hear that 5.56 NATO is a high pressure caliber, which not all receivers can tolerate. Also, why is it that most receivers cost at least 2x as much as this item listed? Is this just a super-good deal? Or has quality been compromised somewhere?
