You should not have to justify yourself when purchasing anything.

How do I justify to whom? To myself? To my wife? I don't need to justify. It may sound corny, but I am a big boy. I work for a living, and the bills get paid.

    Because I want them.

I have 2 1911's and I am really thinking about a third...I have NO NEED of one, but I know if I get the money together, I will buy one anyway.

Same with another shotgun, and ......you know how it is.

Again, I do not need to justify any purchase in an attempt to gain approve for a purchase. I just feel more comfortable if I actually have a need for a gun I buy. I don't really spend any money on a firearm because I want a new toy. She keeps me grounded by pointing out that the 870 with extended tube and 18" barrel is just as effective as the street sweeper I think "Looks cool". She keeps me grounded. At the end of the day I override her and she is fine with that if I do so decide. In fact I just did with .303 enfield I just picked up.

PS. I hate eagle arms, rich always makes deals he knows I can't say no to.

My justification? The same gun cannot be in 2 (or 3) rooms at the same time when it's not on me.

If you can double-fist beers, why not guns?

I'm FOR 1 gun a month, so you'd eventually have to circle back and buy the same one anyway

Statistically, say, if the chance of having 1 gun stolen is 1 in 25,000. The chance of having 2 of the same gun stolen is 25,000 x 25,000 = 625,000,000

If i can afford it, why not? :-P

personally though, I would get 1911 for different occassion, such a match, 45 target, 9mm target, etc.

else, i can't justify myself buying the same spec but different brand

It's way cheaper than buying multiple Corvettes.....

seriously, I agree with having a variety of guns, but matching sets are nice too.

Guess it would be kind of like dating twins. One may be a sweetheart and the other may be a complete wild animal in bed.
