I'd love to come but I have plans all weekend.

    Getting a wedding together friday
    Wedding saturday
Gathering up stuff to move (bought a townhouse) on sunday.

I get a 4 day weekend from work and it's packed already.

If you want to do this sometime in june I would be more than happy to come. I could make some of my stew to bring..

I was hoping we'd be able to make this, but work once again gets in the way.

The Mrs has it as a normally scheduled day. and I am working OT to help catch a project up that is behind schedule. The money is good, but the social life suffers a bit.

The summer is "young" so we still hold out hope for participation later on!

Well, here we are the night before...

Good news: The burgers are put together and in the fridge. Some just spices, some spices and cheese, some spices and bacon, some spices and bacon and cheese

Bad news: I couldn't find any cheddar wurst so I had to get regular cheese dogs

So, come hungry, leave happy... wait... can I use that line?

Party's over! I think everyone had a pretty good time. Except for my youngest who tried to choke on a chip when everyone was leaving! Last time he tried to hang himself in his high chair. I think he hates it when people leave an OC event (check the Dutterers round 3 thread to get that joke).

The 1/4 pound burgers were a little too done, but they seemed to go over well. I heard the one teenager ate like three of them plus dogs! If only more people showed up. I have 16 burgers left to try and get rid of. We also forgot to eat the strawberry pie we had picked up, but by the way jhbenson was rubbing his belly and talking about a nap when he left, I don't think it would have got eaten. Don't worry, the kids didn't mind helping out with that!

Pics or it didn't happen (I wish I could pay attention during pictures. I'm so A.D.D. sometimes)...

It looks like I missed a great time. My day consisted of building steps from my deck to make the insurance man happy and getting some paneling up in the bathroom. Harmony's room also got it's first coat of paint. Of course, she had to have four different colored walls.

Right now I have three racks of ribs on the grill and my wife's getting ready to throw a few ears of corn on the stove. Mmmm.

    Edit: Yes, I am carrying.

Ribs sound good! And yes, no matter what people say, you SHOULD be carrying. I say this because I mentioned hopping in the kiddy pool tonight with a beer (thanks jhbenson) and my wife said (jokingly), "Well, that's one place you can't take your gun.". I said, "Yeah, but I could put it to the side while I was in there.". Then her "not so gun crazy" friend said (sarcastically), "Yeah, you don't wanna get held up while in the kiddy pool.". I just said, "Hey, ya' never know. I'd rather be prepared." then walked away.

Of course, this is the same person that isn't sure about getting a house she was looking at because the kids room would be before hers if a burglar would come in and said, "I'm not sure what I would do anyway, but I wanna be able to get to my kids room before a burglar could.". Then I said, "Well, since you'll be living in PA, you could easily buy a gun to protect your family.". This met me with rolled eyes and, "Yeah, whatever.". Oh well, sometimes logic escapes people.

I wish you could have been there too Evan. I have WAY to many burgers left. I'm going to be around most of the day tomorrow if you'd like to take some off my hands. They'd be a great grilled meal for tomorrow night!

That sucks. I will be working too (not many business owners aren't). I'll be moving most of the rest of my office to my new office in my basement. If you can find a spare minute or two to pick up burgers, you're more than welcome. They are pre-made, hand made patties that just need to be cooked. If you don't have my contact info... PM sent
