Default Kel Tec rear pin not coming out, not budging at all. HELP!

Bought a first gen Kel Tec p32 from cabelas couple nights ago. Trying to install a belt clip but the rear 5/32 pin is not budging at all. Yes, I am using a punch that is the proper size. The PO appears to have attempted to use a phillips head screw driver as a punch and there is a tiny cross in the pin. The pin also appears to be molded to the rest of the grip. I guess from the impact of a punch. I did not do this*

Im sort of at a loss here. I have the proper punch but dont want to damage the grip as I can not collect on the lifetime warrenty from the factory after buying it used. Drill it out? Use and exacto to bore out the squished end of the pin?

Or just leave it alone and pray I never have to take it apart?

Well I was told to lay the LEFT side down and tap the right. The left side is the one which the PO used the phillips head on.

Correct ...it should come right out...it's plastic. You might need to give it a good shot to get it started.

Yea that puppy is seized in there. Its not giving at all. Im really pounding on it. I terrified im going to crack the grip or something Im hitting it so hard. Maybe a heat gun will soften it up a hair then a good solid whack will do it.

I've never encountered a pin this stuck. And Ive been resotring 70's European motorcycles for 5 years.

They don't know that and I have 2 used P3-AT's that they repair and sent parts for simply with a phone call or email. Just call give a S/N, you should be fine

They'll still probably fix it/send you parts for free, even though you bought it used. If you email them and tell them your problem but don't mention that it's a used gun, they probably won't even ask. Just tell them you were knocking the pin out to install the belt clip, the frame cracked, and you need a new frame. From my experience with their customer service, KT seems like a pretty laid back company. Worst case scenario they charge you like $30 for it. It sucks, but not that big a deal in the scheme of things.

Another thing you might try is sticking the gun in the freezer for a few minutes. Might make the plastics contract a bit so it's easier to knock the pin out. Might be worth a shot...

Keltec warranty states to the original owner, but that isnt always the case. KT customer service is very good. If you need parts, call service and not parts. They ship them out and you'll have them in days. I have a few Keltecs.
