They typically are only once a year in May........not to say we could round up an "informal" shoot!!

I was there 2 weeks ago & met a Real Estate agent that just joined MASA & was shooting a Walther .22. It was his second time shooting it & was having some issues so I helped him out. He was asking about my Steyr .40 and I let him shoot it. He was very apprehensive about recoil at first. Then I broke out the AK and insisted that he shoot it....his eyes got REAL big, but ended up leaving with a perma-grin!!!

I think the group of people that shoot there are great. Most times I end up talking more than shooting!

Yes - I agree. You can pay a gazillion dollars a year membership fees and have to tolerate intolerable yahoos. . . but if the people are great, you wouldn't mind paying a gazillion dollars. This club does have nice members.
