I either use one of my burnishing tools, a bone folder, or a sharpie. water, then dye (if dyeing) then gum tragacanth. all after beveling with a beveling tool.

pics of brunishing tools or a link to the process?

I just started playing with leather a month or so back and find it quite fun, this just isn't something I'm too great at yet.

Gum trag and a bone folder are how I burnish the interior.

Get one of these get a 1/4" bolt about an inch and a half long, lock the wheel on the bolt with a nut. Chuck it in a drill. Nice burnished edges, easy.

I use edge kote, wait for it to dry, then burnish. But that's just me, everyone has their own way!

ETA: Chemical, your stuff is looking great!

I use some gum tragacanth on the edges and rub the boning tool as fast as I can back and forth. The more heat you create, the nicer it comes out (just don't burn it). Of course, if you want to take the easy way out, use the burnishing wheel.
