    Default Sig Sauer/Most collectible

    Guys,
I really wanted some advice. I am on my third gun. I currenly have an XDM 40 and a smith and wesson revolver. My next purchase will definitely be a Sig.
My question is, what current Sig do you think is the best combination of all around greatness (shooting, feel etc) and will be more valuable than others once older? Do they make any limited editions?
    Thanks

Sig makes a bunch of Limited Edition runs on their different models. IMHO, all they are is blinged up gun that probably will have 0 collector value in the future.

There is talk that they'll be coming out with a P210 again in the near future. That would probably have the best chance at being a future collectible or highly desirable gun.

As far as all around greatness and feel, that's all up to you and the size of your hands and what fits you best.

I'd recommend looking for a use LNIB stamped slide West German or German P220, P228, or P226. Those are what Sig has built their reputation on and those are what I think of when I think Sig quality and complete Sig magic.

If $$ is not an issue, look for a P210

    Good luck!

I agree with what 1blindref stated, but wanted to add that a P225 is also a superb choice.

Not sure about collectible, but there are rare SIGS out there.

If you want a "SIG" that is one really nice pistol though, seek out a P210. I'm not commenting on the new Legend yet, but if you can find an older P210 in great shape, it would make a very nice addition to any collection.

If you can find a original all Swiss made 210.

As a daily carry defense gun the 229 is almost impossible to beat all around.

Find yourself an older W.German mad Sig, either a 225, 226, 228 or a 220, these were some of the best guns Sig ever made.

Here's my W.German 220 I bought back in 2001 it was NIB and I paid 490.00 OTD for it.

I'll 3rd the P229. Great gun! Little heavy and bulky tho. This can be good or bad depending on your intended use. Very accurate and reliable.
