Hi, I recently did a transfer at Schuylkill Gun Works in Schuylkill Haven.
I was charged a grand total of $8.00,THAT'S RIGHT $8.00 nothing more nothing less.
Prices for other things are good.
Check them out if you are in the area.
Here's a link to their web site.

Re: Schuylkill Gun Works
Anyone buy anything from here? If so, how was the price? Any problems? Hope to be going there for a price check, mostly because they are a mile or two from where I work.

I've bought two brand new firearms from SGW and I can't say enough good things about them. They are always polite, professional and helpful. They have very competitve prices and will take the time to answer any questions you might have. They also have the lowest transfer fees I have seen.

Re: Schuylkill Gun Works
I have purchased a bunch of stuff from them including a firearm or two and they are great to deal with. When everyone was screaming that the sky was falling with regards to reloading supplies, SGW had stock of primers and powder and did not go into "rape mode" with their pricing. That is what got me hooked at first and now they are my go to place.

Just keep in mind that $8 transfer is for private sale...IE you buy a pistol from your friend. If you are talking about a transfer from the internet, I believe it's $20 something for those types of transfers.

Re: Schuylkill Gun Works
I live in Schuylkill Haven and stop in to shoot the bull with Pete and Joe probably once a week. Their inventory doesn't rival some of the large shops, but they will order anything for you and I haven't been able to beat their prices, even internet/Gun Broker. If I ever see someone contemplating a purchase in Cabelas, I always tell them to take a 15 minute drive north to save some $$$.
