Re: Anyone have a Sig Sauer 1911?
I have a compact RCS version (alloy officer's frame / commander top end) and it is my main carry gun of choice. After very few break-in rounds, it eats anything I feed it.
There were some problems (well documented) with the first generation, and I think this turned a lot of people off to SIG's 1911's. Those problems have long been sorted out and I think they are one of the best 1911 bargains out there.
One last note - people tend to point to the shape of the slide and opine that holster selection will be limited. My RCS works great in a VM II commander holster. Also have a Nelson-style OWB made for a commander, and it works fine in that. Kydex may be a problem, but leather will "give" to fit the gun just fine.

Re: Anyone have a Sig Sauer 1911?
The OP is asking if ANYONE has any experience on a SIG 1911 not choices on a 1911, I think the SIG 1911 is a very good gun , SIG is at a high standard for quality and accuracy, but its alot of lettuce for one.
If you can afford one buy it they are one of the top of the line 1911's if i had the lettuce i would buy it, I want to own a SIG someday.

Re: Anyone have a Sig Sauer 1911?
Good point. There are lots of nice 1911s to be had at that price point but let's keep it on topic.
They are a very, very nice gun, and if you were to have issues, Sig stands behind their product. If you can afford it, go for it, you won't be disapointed. They are supernastysexytime.Selling off a a sizeable Spyderco collection here

I've heard good things about them recently. Don't have one myself, but a guy I know does and says he is pleased with it.
For that price it is hard to find any other 1911 without any MIM parts. It's all forged but one that I handled seemed to have a pretty loose fit to it (slide to frame rattled).

Re: Anyone have a Sig Sauer 1911?
Thanks for the info guys... I'd really like to get another sig and I love 1911's so i figured why not kill two birds with one stone. But as for now the little lady wants a gun (finally) so it looks like my 1911 dream is going to be on hold a little longer... And I'll definitely have to look in to some other manufacturers and see what they offer but like i said i love my sig so why not add another? Right?

Just also wanted to remind you that if its for carry there's always this option

A CCO: A commander slide on an officer frame. There arent very many companies that produce this combo today and the melt on this also looks great!!!
