Default Philadelphia county LTCF issue time.

I applied for my license to carry today in Philadelphia. Just wondering how long it took for other members to issue?

    Thanks!

You can expect to wait 8-10 weeks before the PPD Gun Permits Unit sends you a letter stating whether or not you've been approved.

Was a little over a month for me back in 2008.

I'm looking to apply for mine in the next couple of days as well. What do I need to bring in aside from the form and where do I need to take it? Is there an interview process? share the knowledge!

The application should tell you where to go, what to bring, and about the interview process. Just make sure you have ALL the right paperwork filled out CORRECTLY.

Thanks for the advice. They told me 8-10 weeks. Just hoping for faster.

Applying is actually pretty easy....You can print the app off the philadelphia police webiste. And you will go to Spring Garden St. near Delaware Ave. You will need.

    1. The app completely filled out.
    2. 2 reference sheets filled out.
    3. Drivers license+2 additional forms of residence.

While there they will do a quick interview and fingerprints.

Interesting they say 8-10 weeks when the law says 45 days. I'm in Butler on the west side of the state. No interview, no finger prints and a driver lic. only for I.D. They take you picture and your out in 10-15 mins. In a week you get your LTCF (not a letter) in the mail unless you've been denied. Same turn around time with our new sherrif, just had 2 friends get theirs, one 5 days and one 6 including a weekend.

The building is at 9th and Spring Garden, use the entrance in the rear and go to the second floor. Follow the signs.

There's a spot on the application itself for 2 references...those extra sheets are not allowed by statute. Tell them so.

I wish someone would sue Philadelphia county for violating the UFA.
