Any certified armorers in the house????
I was fortunate to attend a Glock armorer school recently. I just wondered if anyone else here has attended Glock, Sig, Remington etc....

Re: Any certified armorers in the house????
Certified just means they are nutty enough to take a hammer, file, punch etc to a nice and expensive gun........
But in all seriousness many of the firearm vendors offer formal schooling for a fee on their products that can range from basic disassembly to trouble shooting malfunctions to upgrades/modifications. Once you pass the class you receive a certification from them that shows you have attended the school.
They may or may not also offer discounts on tools and such during or after the course."Remember the first rule of gunfighting ... have a gun." Jeff Cooper

It seems to me as if 85% of the people attending any given gun show, either side of the tables, are Glock armorers.
Seriously, I'm a certified Marine Corps Armorer - 2111 (Small Arms Repairman), APG '73.

Sig armorer back in the 90s, no longer current on certification though.
Since I and my wife now carry Glocks, it’s always nice to know who the certified Glock armorers in the area are.
I'll keep you in mind Mr. AR15JulesTomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Re: Any certified armorers in the house????
A certified armorer is someone "authorized" by the manufacturer to work on your pistol described in one of the other posts. No one is saying you or your neighbor Billy Bubba can't do the same thing, but either you or Billy Bubba screw up and the manufactured might say.....sorry.......we won't fix it right, or it'll cost you $$$.
I got my certifications through the NRA's free LEO programs. I think my Sig cert is up, so I might have to put my name in the hat again.
