    Default XD vs Glock

    Need some opinions
The 4" XD in .45 or the Glock 21SF?
I know Glock has the "better name"......

XD's are nice looking guns but so are the glocks. I have a glock and love it. I like the XD's but the biggest down falls are the stupid grip safety and the way to high of a slide. I absolutly love the low slide on the glock, thats why recoil isn't as high on an XD. Just my 2cents.

Not another xd vs glock thread??

Go to a range where you can rent them, shoot them both, and buy whichever one suits you better..

Can someone post the "not this shit again" picture? I'm at work on my phone and can't post pics...

Practical advise? Feel them both, if you can, shoot them both, then decide.

This is hilarious. Two noobs bitchin about another noobs question.

I have the xd-45 4" and like it a lot. I bought it prior to the glock 21 sf release. The plane g21 was just too fat for my hand so I went with the xd. I liked it so much that I bought the xd-45 compact too. keep in mind that I own 2 g19's so in order for the xd to impress me it need to be pretty good. I am not disappoint, so, I think that either will serve you well.

XD's are good, I've owned a few. I'm switching over to glocks only for uniformity purposes and I like the trigger a little better. It's more crisp on the Glock.

I don't think you can go wrong with either of these guns. There are those that swear by Glocks, and probably near the same number that will swear by XD's for being the best guns.

I would recommend running a search for XD and G21 SF, read some pros and cons for each gun. Reading up on a range review or 2 will help too. After reading through as much information as you can bear, head to a gun renting range and shoot them both - see what fits for you.

although i am a certified 9mm glockaholic, if i were looking to buy a .45, i would get a smith & wesson M&P. i suggest you at least add that gun to your list of possibilities.
