Sorry to do another AR thread, but I needs ya help!!
OK:
Daniel Defense M4XV - $1000
Daniel Defense M4 (w/Omega rail)- $1300
Stag Model 2 WITH EoTech- $1300
M&P w/ 5 free mags- +/- $1000
Used for plinking, home defense, 1 or 2 carbine classes per year. Price is a factor but not the BIGGEST factor, I want out of the box reliability. What say you???Last edited by Kb! Bob; May 16th, 2010 at 07:32 PM.

I love Daniel Defense , they are well worth their money, i like the one with the rail farm the best.
Number 2 would be the other DD.

Re: Sorry to do another AR thread, but I needs ya help!!
I have a Stag Arms 8L, (factory Gas Piston), w/ Daniel Defense Omega, Vertical Grip, XPS3 Eotech, and a few other goodies...
I LOVE IT! I picked it up from Seneca Arms for $1040.00new, then got all the accessories.
I love stag and haven't had a problem with them, this is my 3rd gun. What ever you really decide there, I doubt you will have any problems they are all really good guns.
Check out Seneca's prices before you do anything, depending on where your located, you could save alot of $$.
Plus, I have an eotech 512.A65 for sale on ebay if your interested. The auction ends in a few hours.

There really isn't a bad choice on the list.
I have an M&P15X & got it for well under $900. Nice gun."It's hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong."

If you plan on hanging everything under the sun on the rails, then by all means go for the rail'd weapons.
But for home defense (would stick with light weight), i say go for the Stag w/Eotech. and pic up a small rail that bolts to the handguard to mount a light if you so desire.

Re: Sorry to do another AR thread, but I needs ya help!!
I have the Stag with an Eotech. I bought a Model 1, and put my own Command Arms rail system on it...still kept it under $1300, though. Great gun, no issues, I've added a bunch of Magpul and other accessories onto it (pop ups, grips, etc.).
I've put many thousands of rounds through it and haven't had any problems that I can recall....not even a FTE/FTF. Pick up some PMags and you should be good.

You can get an M&P15T (Troy quad and Troy flip up battle sights) for $1300. It also comes with 18 free mags! Also, S&W CS is excellent.
