    Default what i carry

    My carry gun is a 40 sigmave and i shot the 135 grain xm40ha all i can say is
    for a 135grain round it really packs a punch i was thinking it wouldnt do much
    well i was wrong.Has anybody esl shot this round and if so what do u think.

    I find the lighter grain rounds are more "snappy" while shooting.

    I personally find the 180 grains very nice. Less "snappy" IMHO, so it allows for quicker follow up shots.

    This my view and my view alone.
    Try a few brands/weights. See what you shoot best.

    I havent done alot of test with this round but i wanted something that if i had to use it to defend myself the round wouldnt keep going and hit somebody esl.I havent shot it into jell but i shot it into a gallon water jug filled with water and placed a phone book behind it cleared the water jug but only went into to the phone book about a 1 1/2 i know thats not much of a test but it sould not keep going if i have to use it one someone.What do u think.

    Any of todays hollow point ammo should minimize the risk of over penetration.

    But pending on the location of the shot, i.e soft tissue, it is not guaranteed with any ammo.

    I've been carrying Winchester 155 gr silvertips in my G27.

    I've seen good penetration and expansion in both gelatin and wet phone books.

    It does kick a bit though.
