Default Gay and in the NRA

Why is it that folks are surprised that there's gay gun owners? Anyway, I am one. Both these I took with me to TX visiting folks.

    I'm a happy gun owner.

On a serious note, I'm not surprised. Nor does it bother me. I have gay family members and friends. I've even been to a gay bar, it was awkward at first then it was fun.

You're joking right? You can't be gay and mix plaids like that.

That's the other stereotype---gays and fashion sense. I don't fit well into that one either.

Most gay bars in PA are pretty sad but there's a few good ones around. Gays don't use bars anymore to date since the invention of the smart phone and acceptance in society is greater than it used to be, so a lot of the sketchier ones that used to exist have since closed and the more generic ones that cater to everybody are what's left.

I'm conservative and an atheist. Oh yeah, one more, I don't hate gays. Or people of a different race, the poor ( I am one), other cultures, okay the list is pretty big. Stereotypes. I think that they are based on a previous truth somewhat but most no longer fit as time has past and people have grown and changed. On both sides of the stereotype. I hope that made some kind of sense or that sense can be made of it. End of a long day and mostly just wanted to day hi and welcome.

Me too... I have a weird mixture of beliefs:

    *Atheist
    *Republican
    *Not racist
    *Pro choice
    *Pro gay marriage

    Any questions?
