Re: Anyone Else Crow Hunt?
same rules apply as with other game in PA... no semi auto rifles or handguns. Semi auto shotguns are ok as long as there are plugged down to two in the mag & one in the chamber.
Unlawful Firearms & Devices: 1) Automatic and semi-automatic
(autoloading) rifles and handguns; 2) air or gas operated rifles and
handguns.
Firearms - Magazine Capacity: It is unlawful to hunt small game,
furbearers, turkeys, waterfowl or crows with a manual or autoloading
shotgun unless the magazine is limited to a two-shell capacity. A plug
must be a one-piece filler installed so it cannot be readily removed
without disassembling the gun or magazine.
Also of note:
Sunday Hunting: It is unlawful to hunt wildlife, except foxes, crows
and coyotes, on Sundays.Last edited by 87th PVI; February 4th, 2010 at 10:56 PM.

Re: Anyone Else Crow Hunt?
Last year I went out to some fields near my house and there were no crows. Most of the crows around here are in town or along the highway...

Re: Anyone Else Crow Hunt?
I went crow hunting one time and I had a total blast doing it. I didn't get anything, cause I was laughing way to hard to shoot. You have to understand we were using an inflatable owl for a decoy, and the first crow hit and and it started deflating, but since the crow call was going full tilt, they just kept plowing into to the poor decoy till is was flat and hanging upside down off the limb. My buddy, my dad and I did manage to get a few shots off, but they were futile at best. I am going to do that again sometime after the weather breaks since I think I have a better set up for calling now, well if the weather is dry anyway. Plus I can get some much better decoys as well.
ErinI think I am therefor I am, I think.

Re: Anyone Else Crow Hunt?
i did the cloth hanger garbage bag deal at first but then picked up the cabellas birds as well. a fake moving decoy surrounded by the crow decoys works.
