There's only one Walmart around here that I know of that sells pistol calibers. Everything except 40 and the smaller calibers has been sold out every time I've gone in there in the last month.

The only 9mm rounds I've seen were the 115 gr federal hollow points. I'm not paying 20 bucks for 20 rounds that I'm just trying to shoot off at the range.

Impossible to find federal 100 valuepacks of 9,40,or .45! They are such a great deal. Always empty at north versailles, irwin, and west mifflin!

Haven't checked Wally World but the Dunhams near me North Hills of Pittsburgh had some 7.62x39 tons of 7.62x54. Many boxes of pistol ammo including 9mm, 38,357, 380, some 45ACP and boxes of 40cal as well. Prices were not Walmart level but they were not gouging either. I got the last 2 boxes of non match grade .22s and there were no .223s to be found. They did have one Semi / AR style .22 rifle but everything else was bolt action.

Its a pain, but I check allmost daily at my local wal mart. The gentleman at the counter told me they generally get shipments daily, and most times it is hit or miss. If I ever see 9mm or 40 tul or those federal packs, I buy each and everyone one of them.

A tip: The manager there (Uniontown store) told me that you can call your local store manager and talk to them and request certain amounts/types of productbe kept in stock. I do it regularly for other products like the cookies and cream whey protein, Breakstones 2% cottage cheese, bags o spinach, and the 5 dozen packs of eggs for my weight lifting. They will most times do it, but you have to continue to buy them. ( I buy that stuff weekly) I have even heard of getting things they normally dont carry at all through a phone call to the manager. It now dawned on me that maybe this would work for ammo? I think I will give them a call.

I hit gold the other day between the 3 local Wal-marts. I haven't seen the 9mm value packs in months and thought it would be foolish to not stock up as it's the best deal going for 9mm. I bought them all, scored 2500 rounds. Haven't seen the .45 value packs in awhile or I would have stocked up on those too. .223 is nowhere to be found other than some expensive American Eagle 50-grain rounds. The best deal going on .223 at Wal-mart are the Federal 100 rounds packs for $35, I bought a box of those a few weeks ago and haven't seen any since.

From the Cranberry Walmart on Sunday. $10.97 per box of 20 - a real steal these days.

I like those 100 count boxes of federal, which I have not seen recently.
    ...and they have a plan...
