Default Business Card to Give - Legal Guns Prohibited Merchants

Here's what I put together for the Front and Back of a Business Card to give to those who post 'No Guns' signs or have a 'No Guns' Policy for their businesses.

It combines the messages of the NoGuns=NoMoney$ cards with some of the FirearmsCoalition.org messages, but does not duplicate (ie., violate) the copyrighted cards they have...

    091101-0235 - UPDATED
OK - I've updated the Image below with some of the suggestions offered through Post#9.

I slightly changed the text on the front and at the bottom on the back...

Your suggestions are appreciated... I'm still listening

When final, I'll post a JPG of the Front & Back individually and try to make a DOC file that can be printed on your Ink-Jet printer...

I think this type of Full-Color Business Card should really be printed professionally... maybe someone on the forum has a hook-up with a printer??

To Minimize Costs - maybe in each main area of the state, a couple folks could pull their funds and order a 1,000 cards (or 5,000 if you think you need that many) and then split the printed cards between themselves. This would keep the cost per card down and wouldn't require shipping all over the state.... Just a thought....

Looks mostly good but I'm not sure the liability thing is accurate.

ETA: I'd also make the use of title case consistent. In fact, I think there's a Bit Too Much Title Case in the memo.

The headings look OK as title case. I'd change the smallest black text to sentence case.

Looks good to me, in fact I like it a lot.

The use of word "may" in the phrase "may be criminally liable" covers the concern IMHO. With that said, I'm not against changing the wording if it's deemed necessary.

The words 'you may' implies an indefinite possibility...
I suppose it could read 'You may have Increased Liability for the safety of your patrons and your employees!'

    Thanks for the comments...

    Very good so far.

    My thoughts, FWIW:

Is "safety check" the best phrase to use? Doesn't seem quite right.

The wording against the flag background could be a little hard to read.

The backward slant on "This means I" seems a little strange.

And I also agree with a Bit Too Much Title Case.

I like it... Are we set up for a group purchase?

It's the OP's call, but I would not hand out anything with statements that I could not back up with facts if challenged. For example, the fact that criminals are sometimes deterred by armed potential victims. Here you can cite Wright and Rossi . If there is real legal basis for the liability thing then we should post that here. But if the best you've got is "well I only said 'may be'", you are asking to get laughed at IMO.

The OP asked regarding case: I meant the use of capitalization. For example, "You Deny citizens their Right". There's no reason for "Deny" and "Right" to be capitalized. The font sizes look good. I would use title case (every word capitalized) for the larger headings and sentence case (first word and proper nouns capitalized) for the regular type.
