Have you had any retention training?
Pretty simple.
Feel free to share if you have, with whom, or what you think or want to know about the notion and where it is on your priority list.

Re: Have you had any retention training?
CC and I have (so has my wife)
For me training was with Kent PD, WA state; during the WSCJTC Instructors Course, and several Instructors Updates included sections/blocks on weapon retention & disarming. The best one that I remember was with Marty Hayes from the Firearms Academy of Seattle.
Also some different classes that I have taken included some blocks on weapon retention.
The wife took a 2-day weapon retention class with Marty at FAS, and also has taken some classes that have had a block on weapon retention.
I also realize that this is something that needs to be practiced with some regularity, so we get out our red guns and practice from time to time.Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Re: Have you had any retention training?
Professional training in general is on my to do list this year. I'm moving into a new house with my GF next week and plan on paying off the ride by the end of summer. After that my money is pretty much opened up to whatever I want.

Re: Have you had any retention training?
I'd like to do some formal training to get better educated, but, for now I call it situational awareness.
