Franklin Institute
Franklin Institute is not carry friendly. They have no where to lock up you firearm.

Re: Franklin Institute
I was there a few weeks ago for the "Mummies" exhibit. I wasn't sure about the place, so opted not to carry when going there. But I didn't notice any signs. And there wasn't any metal detectors or people being searched/wanded.
I'm wondering if the OP tried to check his weapon and they then had an issue??

Re: Franklin Institute
perhaps they aren't OC friendly, but I've CC'ed in there numerous times, including last month, with no problems. Can the OP elaborate on his situation?

Re: Franklin Institute
I didn't see any sign. What sign? Where? Unless it'll get me arrested I carry everywhere.

Re: Franklin Institute
I did the mummies a few weeks ago.
The 5600 year old South American baby with the flat face is interesting. The European mummies were less well preserved. The bog woman looked squashed.
No metal detectors, no signs, no problems CC in the museum or while visiting the mummies (OTW, longer shirt not tucked in). I have a membership and go there every few months.

Re: Franklin Institute
I have never seen or heard anything about their gun policy. I am sure I cc'ed there about 10 years ago.
Some people just plain suck.
If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough.
