Re: Double action 1911 from Colt?
Double action goes against everything that IS a 1911.
I would not get it. . . .
But thats only my opinion.
Otherwise, it looks good. . .

Me thinks they are just trying to compete with the Para LTC market. Have shot them and don't like them either.... LOL

Re: Double action 1911 from Colt?
Colt seems to suffer in the new product idea area. I liked the idea of the All American, how could you go wrong with a gun designed by Gene Stoner and Reed Knight? Colt did because they released it before it was debugged.
Colt has been around forever but seems to be plagued by lack of vision. Looking at their website they seem to only offer three guns or variations on those guns: Government Model, Single Action Army, AR-15/M-16.
Pretty sad.Last edited by Wiley-X; April 14th, 2010 at 10:36 AM.

Good thing those 3 guns they make are among the most famous and well sought after in the world!
As for the da 1911 it's not for me. I will stick with a series 70!

It's one thing when PARA did it, but I gotta say, there's something about Colt doing it that just feels like gross imbecility...
