Good article. Now on to practicality. Many gun owners feel unqualified/ill equipped/etc. or just don't know what they can do in their sphere of influence or maybe just stretch themselves a little.

What are some initial steps that they can take to start to feel like they are getting involved and helping the cause? I'm not looking for 'get off you lazy a**, don't be a wimp, toughen up, storm the capital' kind of actions. We don't need that kind of rhetoric toward our own. It's counterproductive. They lack confidence and knowledge, so how do they get started?

How about a freakin phone call. E-mail? Letter in an envelope? Some people just don’t like getting off their lazy ass.

    That's true to a point.
But what he is also talking about is that there are motivated people looking to contribute beyond prewritten emails who don't see an obvious and easy path to do it.

People want readily available blocks of 2A activism that are clearly defined, don't require massive commitments of time and money, don't require specified political knowledge, and don't appear to be a misdirected waste of their effort.
How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

    Exactly!

Qtrborecrazy's post is exactly what we do not need. Insulting people with the same goal as you does not motivate them to become a stronger ally. It drives them to do less, not more, and just creates more division in the ranks.
