Re: Car carry, you have LTCF + its your gun, but passenger doesnt have LTCF= ILLEGAL
Reading the statutes, there is nothing that states this. In fact there are provisions to protect a child or spouse without a ltcf who drives your car while your firearm is in the car without you. (As long as you have a ltcf)
http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/...hoice=suppress
(13) Any person who is otherwise eligible to possess a
firearm under this chapter and who is operating a motor
vehicle which is registered in the person's name or the name
of a spouse or parent and which contains a firearm for which
a valid license has been issued pursuant to section 6109 to
the spouse or parent owning the firearm.

Re: Car carry, you have LTCF + its your gun, but passenger doesnt have LTCF= ILLEGAL
Heh they can look all they want. They better check real good because I never had any.
Hypothetically, I'm riding in my car, with 2 holstered guns. I get out, Take one off my belt and give it to my wife, She OC's the pistol.
We go to leave, She takes off the holstered firearm and I put it back on my belt.
Legal?
Nothing on the LTCF says how MANY pistolas I may have on my person at any given time. She is not a prohibited person, and she is my wife.

Thanks for the replies. No way of knowing but, maybe this is a traveling "expert" appearing at all Cabelas east of the Mississippi, who is recalling the laws of some other state, not PA.
I've had a PA LTCF since 1989...never heard of this nonsense.
I'll forward this thread to sis-in-law.

So what happens when your the passenger in the vehicle and driver doesn't have an ltcf. This doesn't make sense at all.

That's not a waste of money. Cops can and do arrest people for unlicensed transport, leaving it up to you to prove the exception at significant cost.
Put a couple of $10 bills on the counter once every 5 years, or risk paying $5,000 to defend at a trial. And that's an EASY trial, a quick and dirty trial.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

A little late, but can I add, 100% bullshit?
I wasn't there and don't know if he simply mixed up words or something. But if you are sure about this, I would get his identity and contact his company (if any) or at least his client and point out he is full of shit. We have way too many people out there spouting this garbage.
