Re: Utah firearms course
our very own TonyF of the FIRE institute does. the class is held at the pitcairn-monroeville sportsmen's club which is a little bit east of pittsburgh. i'd guess about 1.5 hour drive from grove city.
here is their website:
www.fireinstitute.org
it prolly lists when the next one is being held. tony might be along to chime in as well (or PM him).
(i took the class so i could get my utah permit. tony did a fine job. it's kind of a mundane class if you are already knowledgeable about general carry issues, but it's a good refresher and tony made it as enjoyable as it could be.)

Re: Utah firearms course
I've been talking with a guy listed on the Utah website as a certified instructor, his name is Jeff Goldberg and number (as listed on the Utah site) is 610-458-5688 or write to jsg525@earthlink.net . He lives in Chester County.
He is giving a class this Sunday in the Princeton, NJ area for the Utah permit. He also gives one on one classes, which is what I am going to do on the 25th of this month.
He seems like a good guy, give him a call, tell him Soberbyker sent ya.

Utah class is quite painless, the waiting is the only thing that is no fun they must get swamped with apps.
Although they did cash my check 4days after I mailed it so they dont mess around with their mula!

6months---- dont tell me that! then again i'm halfway there i sent it in on sept 13th.
The system they have going is a cash cow, they get flooded w/ permits. As long as I get it, I don't plan on going on vaca till spring anyhow, hopefully I have it by then..

Re: Utah firearms course
By the way, there were 4 or 5 guys listed on the Utah site in the eastern part of PA, Jeff is by far the most reasonable, price wise. He's more interested in getting folks their permit than making money off of it. One of those guys was more interested in making money.
Damn, I just quoted myself, and I was only exposed to EM a few times.
