    Pros:

    1. Closest rifle range, by far, to City of Philadelphia.

    Cons:

    1. CCW banned (!) on premises.
    2. Absurd country club rules such as limits to how many rounds in the rifle at one time on the range.

    See now crap like that I didnt know. So no 40 round mags in my AK?

    Its in the city...about 5 minutes from me so I guess it would be well worth the anal rules.

    Oh, you can have the 40rd mag -- but it has to stay almost empty.

    Their rules are indeed a parody of the Fudd mentality.

    I have included a link to their web site. On it you can find the rules and regulations and a bunch of other info. I am a member there but I joined without reading up on them. I really take exception to their rule that they do not allow carrying of your sidearm and their absurd mag limits. I will not be re-newing my membership when it expires unless I find that some rules have changed. I think I am going to be looking into LRGC. It is a further drive but everything I hear about it is positive.

    LRGC is only maybe a 20 minute drive from City Hall (if there's no traffic). At worst(rush hour) it might take 40 minutes.
    I'm in Bristol now, but I was living at 16th and Carpenter when I joined.

    Mag limits at Holmesburg

    Handgun = 5
    Rifle = 1 Must have permission from RO or club officer to have more then a single round and only when practicing for tournament. Permission is only for that range session.
