Pa county parks
After searching and searching I could not find an answer. So i will ask... What are the carry laws (cc or oc) in a Pa county park. And yes, I have come to the conclusion that my search is week. Oh and an answer in plain english would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!! T

Re: Pa county parks
Technically and legally, you can carry open or concealed in any PA county or township park. No municipality has the authority to go against sate law on this.
The problem is, most of them don't seem to know it. You should at least check the www for rules of said park, and check for signs (in the area of said park) to see if there is a prohibition in place. Then you can contact the municipality about getting it reversed.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

You can carry open or concealed in county parks this is state wide and covered under preemption. Phily parks you need a LTCF
If there are rules or signs saying firearms prohibited we would like to know because they are in violation of state law

Re: Pa county parks
Some counties have been notified of the pre-emption law and have informed the park rangers, etc, but they may not have removed the signs or blacked out the no weapons/no firearms parts.
York county has acknowledged the signs are in violation but not removed/blacked them out down around where I hang out. The funniest thing though is they sent a letter to someone here stating that the park rangers have been informed, but they prefer concealed carry and the rangers will talk to OCers and ask if they might cover up LOL. Hmm no, I'm not gonna do that if I feel like OC, or it's too hot to CC. I'll ask them why they are OCing LOL.LOL, I am a woman...
