Re: what's with so much OC at the supermarkey?
You use profiling techniques when being situationally aware. It's not entirely wrong but the guys you should pay more attention to are the ones that look more out of place.
A good example would be a guy wearing a hoodie, hat, and sunglasses inside with his hands in his pockets on a hot summer night.
This person you may not want to turn your back to.
Someone looking scruffy doesn't necessarily mean they are trouble.
Now if they are stumbling and looking drunk then yes increased awareness in their direction.
I'd consider an open carrier an low threat. They have already have drawn attention to them before causing trouble by having their weapon out. People will easily recognize them pretty easy which will make the polices job rather simple where everyone in the store will remember who the guy with the gun on his hip looked like.
These people would have to be pretty damn stupid. They just don't take appearance to the level like others. Nothing wrong with that.

I like profiling, it works.

Well I do look a little psycho after 4 days growth....
Many shootings are open carried..... They don't hide the rifle in a flower box..... OK sometimes they hide the rifle under a coat or something, but then when it's out- it's open carry.
I did notice that posters on this site does seem to attack posters ruthlessly. Maybe they should ask that question on a purchase form..... "Are you a habitual attacker of posters on any internet forum?"With great power comes great responsibility....

Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Other one on West Side....... Lots of riff raft in there. I once walked in on a male loss prevention officer wrestling a black woman on the ground while her friend was yelling at him. I asked if he needed assistance and he said no. I watched for a second but felt bad for the spectacle of it all..
