    Default newb question

    hi guys new member. i am getting a remington model 597 vtr. it doesnt have the quad rail. just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction if you can put the rail on and where too get one. thanks.

    I looked around for a few minutes and didn't see anyone selling the quad rail separately. Remington sells a model with the quad rail so I would think you (or a local gunsmith) could install one. I would contact Remington and ask them.

    could you put one of those quad or tri rail off an ar on this rifle? i was just thinking why replace the whole front handgaurd when i can just add a small rail in front and add a set of cheap battle flip sights.

    just a question here, but why do you need 4 rails on the VTR?

    Yea thats cool and all but kinda ugly. I just wanted to mount a cheap set of flip sights and a red dot. Just wanna make a fun plinker

    I have the vtr with the camo and six way stock. I think i found a barrel mount quad rail from cheaper than dirt that should work.
