Re: NO GUNS at the Bloomsburg Fair
In previous years, you could just walk right into the fair after paying, but Barratt says this year there will be volunteers all lined up here at each of the six entrances checking strollers, large purses, and backpacks.
“We’re hoping that the people aren’t going to be too upset with us. This is going to happen in the future everywhere you go,” Barratt said.
Barratt says the Berwick police department will show fair staff how to spot portable meth labs in people’s bags. This is another safety precaution so people do not buy and sell methamphetamine on the fairgrounds.
It isnt even going to be some minimum wage rent a cop responsible for gate security, it is volunteers!! This is what they think is goi to make the fair safer??

My wife heard they were also going to have snipers. The snipers will come in handy incase an infant starts cooking up some meth in their stroller.

Is there a middle ground here? Asking for their LTCF from those who are carrying.

Re: NO GUNS at the Bloomsburg Fair
Emails sent. Tomorrow I plan to call with my dissatisfaction as well. Until this decision is reversed, I will not attend the fair or support any affiliated organizations. Nor will I subject myself or my family to being searched by volunteers or anyone else. My dignity is worth more than the false sense of security some misguided protectionist thinks will come of these ridiculous new policies.

Re: NO GUNS at the Bloomsburg Fair
Did anyone see WNEP at 5 today they said it was because DHS came up with new regs after the Boston bombing.. come to think of it when I went to Dorney my wife got her bag searched.... I don't usually have my tinfoil on but it seems fairly obvious that this is an ongoing thing that is only going to get worse...

Re: NO GUNS at the Bloomsburg Fair
I went with my family last year and all of the prices seemed jacked up to me from previous years. When me and the wife left last year we said we probably wouldn't attend this year. I guess that just became a definetly won't attend this year or any other year now. Just might have to send an email tommorow morning on this aswell to let them know that they made my decesion easier.
