if you're serious, e-mail me and i'll send you a link to a thread on the FALFILES Forums which details the flamer i built in 2004. it sends 4 gallons of K1 or deisel about 40 yards in about 40 seconds.

There is a MG shot here in Ky at Knob Creek Gun Range where you can rent a flame thrower or MG, just to try it out. You can see this on knobcreekgunrange.com, shoots are 2x a year April and Oct.

Hmpf, I'd imagine flame throwers are fairly useful for roasting zombies...

At first glance, you'd think so, but would a flamethrower really produce the same effect as a head shot? Eventually it'd probably burn up the brain, but in the meantime, you have a bumbling, stumbling zombie setting ablaze everything they bump into. Could cause some undesirable collateral damage.
