Pictures of my Johnson

Does anybody have or know anything about these firearms - beyond the Googling? A "guy" is claiming to have the rifle pictured below (pic stock from Wiki). At least I think it's the one... He needs $$ and says he knows nothing about it. What should be looked at or considered?

No, in seriousness: Apparently this is a firearms company that doesn't operate anymore. A buddy I just called says there's an old company that made these rifles under the name Iveress Johnson. Does anybody have any info at all on these?

From what I'm beginning to understand is that these were very el cheapo junk firearms along the likes of Star, Jennings and Hi-Point. Is that the case?

Maybe.. but the point is moot now. I passed.

Uhhh,,, no thanks. Now, I realize that there are certain situations where such a fire-sale is okay, but I don't really know the buddy of the seller well enough to take the chance. I really don't want to end up with some cop-bait. I banged enough's cops' future wives to know better about the baiting...

Iveress Johnson seems to have no problems playing "Where's the Button," or so they say.
