NO, In fact I know several people that have been carrying at other times we have been there to face off against HGC, I was specifically talking about not having a large group of us OCing. Given the situation, the negative attitude towards it from many Philly Officers and the readily apparent histrionics from our adversaries, it just doesnt make sense and would most certainly be chalked up by the nut jobs as a " victory " if they cried how scared they were and made a big spectacle of it

So OC has to be a negative thing now? That's a new one. The media, if they so choose, will paint us in a negative light for anything they want. If it's a PR war then it's on us to respond to it. Having spoken to my fair share of reporters over the last year I hardly see that being a "oh my god look at the evil gun owner" problem at all.

Didnt say that either. And thus far, from my experience at these events, we have gotten at least nuetral coverage and our side getting the truth in print or on camera, with the exception of Dom Giordano, who was squarely in our corner. If you cant see the fact that 30 or more people OCing during this thing on Friday is a completely unneeded distraction that would most likely help our enemies, I dont know what else I can say to convince you.

So rather than being worried about the media jumping on the illegal parking our side does to put up our message, you are worried about a perfectly legal act? That doesn't seem like backwards logic to you?

Uh yea, because the "illegal parking " is something that the CA guys can and have easily overlooked and is a minor, trivial thing that they can easily make excuses to avoid dealing with. A large group OCing isnt even close to the same thing.
    I respectfully disagree.

So a violation of the law is trivial yet a group exercising their rights legally would be a problem.

    Yeah, that makes sense

Frankly, I think the biggest flaw in your thinking is your belief that the civil affairs officers would be forced to deal with the OC group in a disruptive manner. Given that the civil affairs officers have been the most professional group of the PPD I've ever spoken to, I believe that thinking is flawed and incorrect.

This argument is a bit pointless though, as you won't see that size of a group there OC, and you might not even see that many supporters of our side there at all.

Just make sure it's unloaded, you know the cops would have no clue how to handle it safely, and the possibility of a negligent discharge would be even higher than usual.
My brother in law is big into Revolutionary War reenacting. I might be able to borrow a Revolutionary pistol from him. I don't know how he would feel if it was confiscated though.

Somethings getting lost in the translation. What Im getting at is that regardless of the CA guys professionalism ( and for the record I agree with you on that point 100 percent) that doesnt automatically mean they are any more well versed/not versed on the legality of OC in Philly any more then the Sgt that jacked up Viper. Additionally, if a large group were Ocing, and the perception was that it was an "escalation " or " provocation " on our part, regardless of the legality, that would, I believe, make it much more likely for them to not over look other more trivial issues, which BTW, is my understanding they cant even enforce, because the parking spots in question are handled by SEPTA Police.

    Ask yourself this question

Whats more important/productive for our purposes ?

Ocing and all the negative attention that it would be sure to bring ?

Or being able to continue to utilize the mobile billboard that effectively forces all the HGC'rs to stand anywhere else besides in front of the shop ?

To me at least the answer is clear.

We're playing chess here, not Kill the Man With the Ball. OC would create a dogpile. Or would that be a fustercluck?

Mark just called me and informed me that a warrant for unknown charges has been issued for his arrest by the Philadelphia Police Department. 5 officers showed up at his place of work looking for him.

That is all I can share at this point.

So...resisting arrest? Maybe? If they're stretching it? I mean, he did argue for a few seconds about getting on his knees. You'd think if it was that, they wouldn't have waited two months to make a formal arrest. Otherwise they got confirmation on the scene that he was within his rights, and I assume they ran his LTCF and found it up-to-date. I almost hate to ask, but...we sure it's in relation to the incident in February?
