Re: Arrested by the Philadelphia Police for Open Carry
That Tacoma board is funny. Seems like the general consensus over there is "let the cops violate your rights when you're obeying the law, just because they're cops" and everything will go smoother for you. What a group.
Also, I LOLd when I read the bit that said I "found a loophole." Someone doesn't know a thing about the law.Junior

good to hear. hopefully you take the opportunity to use this as a way to expose the corruption of the PPD.
if you do find a lawyer willing to take up a lawsuit, let us know so we can donate some cash.

It is a constitutional right to own weapons NOT CARRY THEM. You APPLY for a permit to carry. I work in West Philadelphia and if someone has a weapon out in the open you contain the subject until you can verify that the permit is valid and the weapon is not stolen. Carrying is a priveledge, and if you feel the need to show the world (defeating the purpose in my eyes) your carrying then this is what youll deal with. These officers did exactly what they are trained to do. If you are not a law enforcement officer in an urban area you really dont know what its like to not know where bullets are flying from half the night. It is common to draw down on people who dont visibly have a weapon because you just dont know. One of my friends brothewrs was killed on the job by a guy who shot him through his jacket pocket. He had no idea he even had a weapon.
Also i find your ignorant comments very offensive about not inviting police into your homes ect.. Thats like saying the men in the navy from Seattle are the gayest.

Re: Arrested by the Philadelphia Police for Open Carry
Looks like the video/audio is up to 6000 views so far. That's potentially 6000 more educated people (minus us) about the tactics of Philly PD and their illegal, unconstitutional ways of conducting business. I just hope some of that 6000 is Philadelphia officers as they probably need this the most. Hell, they should just use this video at their next training session to identify what NOT to do to law-abiding citizens. It’s obviously better and more accurate than what they currently use.
I would rather die in a shootout than get assassinated in a "gun free zone"

"Exclusivity" can mean "limited audience". Any talks about exclusives should include what markets their media conglomerate reaches and whether your news will take you there.
