    Default Mossberg 590a1

Just got a Mossberg 590a1 and i'm looking for a shorter stock for it. I don't want a pistol grip on it but i need a shorter stock. The stock that comes on it is to big for me i'm a small guy with short arms. I am looking at the Hogue stock with a 12" lop but not sure if thats gonna be short enuff. Is there any other options out there?

You can cut down the stock it already has until it fits you. However, you would need to trim your recoil pad a little on the edges.

It worked for a friend's 500. I somehow missed that you were asking about the 590, which I assume isn't too different.

In that case (Hogue Overmolded 12" LOP):

Or you could go adjustable (Knoxx SpecOps Adjustable Length of Pull Stock):

**pistol grips with Mossbergs WILL get in the way of the slide release and make it awkward to get at**

Found a post with pictures (Knoxx SpecOps Adjustable Length of Pull Stock):

That looks just like the trench broom Uncle John carried in 1917

can't wait to shoot some clay birds at the range with u Flash. Should be a real blast. I shot it a little at the range the recoil isn't bad cuz its such a heavy gun. I think it weights like 7 1/4 lbs empty. Not sure how much when fully loaded with 9rds of 2 3/4 1oz slugs

Don't know if this helps, but an adjustable Blackhawk Spec ops may be just what you need. I plan on shooting clays with this.

The Houge "Youth" stock is a favorite of many for this gun.

Just ordered the Hogue OverMolded Stock and Forend Mossberg 500 12" Length of Pull Rubber Black for it. Wonder why the stock and the stock and forend cost the same and just the stock is sold out.

Well I got my stock today and put it on. I love it now the gun fits me perfect with my short stubby arms. The forend that came with it feels nice also has tons of grip to it. I love the hogue grips i have one on my ar15 and sig p228. Sorry i'm lazy don't wanna post pics again so if u wanna check it out its over in the picture section. Here is the link to it.
