I made that mistake my freshman year of college. English prof asked us to write a paper on a current topic in the news. I wrote one on the current political climate surrounding the 2nd amendment. The '94 ban was still a bit away, but I could see the writing on the wall. When I got the paper back it said in big red letters at the top "I don't agree with your subject. -F". The prof had no problem with grammar or spelling. He just didn't like guns. That was my first of many experiences with liberal, left leaning, college educators.

I’m thinking firearm accessories. Take a look at HB Industries (HBI) and see what they did for the CZ Scorpion. If you have a pistol or rifle that you really like, try to improve upon it. I have the HBI “K” kit and trigger springs and let me tell you, it is a blast. The springs alone made all the difference in the world. Imagine the engineering that went into those. Or Geissele and their triggers. That is another fine example of engineering perfection. Good luck, sounds like fun.

I'd have been tempted to write, "And I don't like your course FU".

I would have gone up the chain. Assignment should be graded on composition, technique, grammar, etc. Actual topic should count for very little.
