Bryan Miller at it again!! Ceasefire NJ
Got this email from our old friend Bryan Miller!!!
Fri, April 23, 2010 11:55:51 AMHelp Fight Gun Extremists!
From: Ceasefire NJ <cfpa@peacecoalition.org>
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear friend,
“Gun rights” extremists are on the move, across the nation and the Garden State.
Earlier this week, on the fifteenth anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing, gun extremists marched on Washington and elsewhere. They carried loaded guns openly where state laws did not prohibit doing so. These single-minded and fearful people care so little about public safety that they seek to make our state and country an armed camp. And, it is no coincidence that many follow the harsh anti-democratic rhetoric that attracted such as Tim McVeigh. They will only stop if we stand up.
Please click here to support Ceasefire NJ, New Jersey’s leading organization opposed to these extremists and a national leader in the movement to reduce gun violence. The safety of our homes, schools and communities may depend upon it.
Ceasefire NJ is now a project of the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA), so your donation will be channeled through CFPA. Use the first option for an annual membership, the second for becoming a monthly or quarterly pledger to support our ongoing work, or the third to make a onetime tax deductible donation.
We have all heard of the volatile blend of racism and anti-government hostility emanating from so-called ‘tea parties.’ Mixed in is a rebellious strain of pro-gun extremism that led to yesterday’s events. In many state, ‘open carry’ activists eagerly wear their guns to Starbucks and other retail establishments, caring not a whit about the intimidation of and danger to others. It’s all about them and their petty fears and anti-social ideas.
We are not immune from this dangerous insanity in New Jersey. Within days of its becoming effective, gun extremists brought suit in federal court to overturn our state law limiting purchases to One Handgun A Month law (championed by Ceasefire NJ), a measure intended to diminish the flow of illegal handguns onto streets and into neighborhoods.
The same folks are working to gain passage of legislation to allow almost any resident to carry a handgun in public - legally. And, they seek to block Ceasefire NJ’s campaign to ban civilian purchase of .50 Caliber sniper rifles, massively destructive military weapons designed to destroy refineries, chemical plants, rail tank cars and passenger aircraft.
Ceasefire NJ is our state’s bulwark of sanity, reason and public safety. As the gun violence prevention leader in New Jersey we have succeeded in gaining numerous public safety measures, including the nation’s strongest Assault Weapons Ban, the One Handgun A Month law and many more.
Due to our work and your support, the Brady Campaign rates New Jersey as having the second best set of gun laws in the country. The result? New Jersey has one of the lowest per capita rates of gun death.
Ceasefire NJ needs your support to be able to stand up and fight the gun extremists to protect the public safety – your safety.
Please donate to Ceasefire NJ by clicking here and using your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express Card to donate online today. If you prefer to mail a check, make it payable to CFPA (for tax deduction PAEF) and mail to the address below my name.

I was going to pick this apart and critique his misguidance, but it is so full of FUBAR epic fail, that I don't have the patience to.
One thing I would like to comment on though:

Re: Bryan Miller at it again!! Ceasefire NJ
Im working on getting some VERY revealing data from the State AG's Office with the official assistance of a VERY highly placed member of the Legislature thats gonna blow the roof off how gun charges are handled in NJ Courts
As far as Cryin Bryan goes, just more of the non sensical bluster as usual. I actually LIKE when he goes running off at the mouth, because the proof exists to show just what an idiot he is. When the .50 cal thing became the new boogeyman, studies were released by the rail car industry and the petroleum/chemical industry where they had actually conducted live fire tests against the rail cars and the storage tanks with .50's. Result ??? N O T H I N G ! Millers an idiot. Railcars are designed built and certified to maintain structural integrity during a derailment involving forces expontentially higher then the ft lbs energy involved with a .50 cal round.
BTW , I happen to have a VERY GOOD source in the State House who has told me face to face that Miller was thrown out of the leaderships office and that not a single Anti gun bill will even be permitted to reach the floor for at least the next several years.
Why do you all think Miller folded his group into the religous zealot ones ? He's got NO support in NJ anymore , funding drying up , etc. You should see the Non Profit Tax filings for CeaseFire NJ , their pathetic. He also lost his domain name to the New Jersey Coalition for Self Defense. I always get a smile when I click on CeaseFire NJ and it goes to a PRO 2A groupLast edited by son of the revolution; April 29th, 2010 at 09:52 AM.
