Flag at half mast story

I think some of you will like this story - too bad it's true.

Today I had to go to my sons high school for a parent teacher conference (he's doing well in school).

While standing outside, a few teachers came out - looked at the flag at half mast and said why is the flag at half mast. Then one of the other brilliant teachers said it was Veteran’s day. I looked at my son and asked if any of those teachers were his - he said no - I said thank god. I said to my son the flag is at half mast because of the soldiers that were gunned down in TX and I also reminded him that Veteran’s day is Wednesday - just incase he didn’t know.

These are the people teaching our children.

We need to pay them more , maybe they would care enough to learn .

My daughter passed the PRAXIS in her Freshman year. Didn't squeak out a pass, she crushed it. Now my girl is bright and a hard worker, but she isn't a genius. She held a high 3.X average through high school and is maintaining that so far in college.

How in the world can they make a licensing test that an above average Freshman can pass? Ridiculous.
