Re: My concealed carry permit applictaion was denied???
ok customloaded im not on here to make enemies and im not a young punk. like you have imaged in your stereotypical head. i was miss treated in the army and opted to be discharged after my tour in Afghanistan. My marijuana charge from when i was 15 was actually paraphernalia and i was escorting a case of beer in a backpack to a friends house witch was 21. that was the only trouble i was ever in and as far as drinking and driving goes I would never get behind the wheel after drinking and I am a very responsible person. So if your not going to give me answers to my posted question and bash me then get off my post. for the previously asked questions i will post a scanned copy

Re: My concealed carry permit applictaion was denied???
I'm well (enough) aware of the law in PA regarding LTCF and weapon ownership. I have no intention of starting a marijuana/underage drinking debate, and I will not say what side I'm on either way. Your life is not worth any more than this guy's life, and he should have a right to protect his own. The law is against him, fine. That's not going to change on this snowy afternoon. Your attitude and opinion need some reconsideration. Or keep thinking the way you do, I couldn't really care less. Way to go on 'casting the first stone.'

Re: My concealed carry permit applictaion was denied???
I would have to agree with you, You are the DICK in the bunch, Your response or attack on the OP is the reason why people don’t stick around here. You know nothing about this OP, Yet you go on a rant questioning his Integrity. For all we know the OP may very well be a law abiding citizen wrongfully denied an LTCF, But thanks to post like yours we probably won't find out just what kind of person or contributions he could have made to our community. To the OP most people here are very helpful and you will find answers here, This is a good place to be for Gun owners.

Re: My concealed carry permit applictaion was denied???
Your application for a License to carry a Firearm was denied (or classified as
undetermined) by Pennsylvania State Police.
Character or fitness can be determined by the Sheriff regardless of the statuatory applicability of any specifc charge in regards to a denial. Chrages and convictions evidencing habitual drinking along with a drug charge/conviction is not good for an LTCF...
"is an unlawful user [of marijuana]" has been found, in its federal equivalent at 18 USC 922(g)(3), to mean contemporaneous use in the course of use of firearms. See United States v. Augustin, 376 F.3d 135 (3rd Cir. 2004).
'Underage drinking' as a charge does not differentiation between simple imbibing of an inebriant (creating no or ANY level of BAC), drunkenness, possession, or transportation of liquor or malt beverage. Even police reports describing true facts of drunkenness, two times for a person anywhere from the age of 0 to 18 and in the lack of charges for 3 years since (being at least 21 to apply for LTCF) is an impossible case for a 'habitual drunkard'. Neither the word 'habitual' nor 'drunkard' ought to be given some relaxed standard of construction than what they deserve.
Guess I'm the dick of the bunch. You were under 18 and were only CAUGHT underage drinking TWICE and only caught with marijuanna ONCE. How many times were you not caught? How many times did you drink and drive or drink and concurrently drive or smoke weed? How manyy other crimes did ya do and not get caught?
[...]
I don't know how old you are now but if you are under 25, I think you ought not to be able to have LTCF until you are 35 years old. And during the ten years prior to age 35, be completely clean, not even a parking ticket. Then, you might be of such character to be considered for a LTCF.
Then, you go onto say, and seem to be quite proud of a General discharge as Character of Service while employed by The United State Government ie The US Army. General discharge? Hmm, why not HONORABLE?
