How’s SIG these days?
I’m itching for a SIG MK25 226.
I’ve sworn off SIG since the NJSP got dicked around by SIG by sending them the wrong pistols, and then failing to get any of them to work right. Also, the P320 fiasco and how the company mishandled that whole disaster, along with the Pentagon reports on that gun.
Anyone have experience with the latest version of the MK25 226 with the anchor? Does it indeed have the short extractor? or that long piece of MIM junk? I want a pistol that is as durable and reliable as the old SiGs
Thanks.

Re: How’s SIG these days?
I currently have a p226 mk25 FDE. Bought in 2015. It has the short extractor. It has been flawless throughout 5000 rounds. No FTE, no FTF. Even the crappy sig magazines have been flawless. I would bet my life and the life of my loved ones on the reliability of that pistol. You may want to hurry up on getting one though, I believe they will be discontinuing the mk25 in favor of the mim'd long extractor version

I currently have 3 Sigs, STX, C3 and P238. All shoot well without any hiccups. Use the STX for IDPA about 3000 rounds so far not one failure.

Re: How’s SIG these days?
My wife's P226 has functioned 100%. It easily has 5k+ rounds through it. Same goes for her P320. Yes she did get the recall work done, but it worked flawlessly before and flawlessly after. My SP2022 is my favorite .40 cal handgun, followed by my P239. Both 100% reliable. My P938 is part of my carry rotation. Never had any issues with it either. My P227 is my heavy metal comp gun. Runs like a top.
I'd like to get a P365 at some point, but I'll let Sig work out the bugs. I don't think you can go wrong with the P226, though.

Re: How’s SIG these days?
I bought one just a short while ago. It's got about 500 rounds of mixed ammo through it without a single problem. It comes with three 15 round mags. I bought a Blackpoint holster for it too. If you like being a "click bandit" there is a short reset trigger kit for it but it's totally unnecessary. Looks like it's back in stock at Sig.

Re: How’s SIG these days?
And the P938.........That said I bought a P938 about a year ago and it is one of my favorite pistols. Put about 500-750 rounds thru it without any jams or hiccups. Pull the trigger and it always goes bang.
I think the take home message is do not buy a new model Sigg in the first year. After that they are some of the best made and most reliable pistols out there.

Re: How’s SIG these days?
Jury's still out on my new P938.
Overall I like it a lot, but there are still a few break in bugs to work out, first session of ~200 mixed had a few FTF & FTE.
I'm gonna go thru 2-300 more before I start changing things or worrying about smithing it.
Using the muffler makes things a bit more complex, but it didn't run 100% without it.
I hope I don't need to use the warranty service, but I've read that it is efficient.
I like the little thing a lot. Hope I can get it some dependability.
