Default AR building for a cheap ass

So, I want to build a 20 inch barreled ar-15, keeping it looking the classic m16 style. Well, I want to have a budget with this build. So my question is, what would be the cheapest, but the best for the lowest cost, 20 inch barrel (upper receiver included or not, doesn't matter), and stripped lower?

    thank you

    Del-Ton kit - $470.00 plus shipping

Surplus Ammo & Arms lower $90 plus shipping/ffl fees

I dont know what you mean by "classic M16" style. Do you mean the M16 that was used in Vietnam with the triangular heat shields, or the A2 look with carry handle sight?

If you want an A2, the cheapest thing to do is buy a Del-Ton kit, Surplus Amm/Arms lower, and a carry handle/sight. Slap it all together and you have an AR at around $650

Check SARCO, they used to have A1 kits - less recvr - for sale.

I like this, basically an A2 I guess is what I want. Hopefully they have some in stock when I'm ready to buy! Thank you!

Shit I think that secret got out already. Most of the stuff I want/need is out of stock. They're LPK is back in stock but my credit card had suspicious activity so no I have to wait for another one. I'm hoping it gets here this week.

I buy the SA&A lowers from AIM they are $30 cheaper. They are currently sold out but, if you check often they come back in stock frequently.

I used this kit for my first AR, I am very happy with it. My only complaint is the trigger (it is not horrible but I would prefer an upgrade) I will change that at some point.
