Shit are you serious? I assume that's why they redid their website a few years ago. Did they notify customers?

I had uploaded my DL with them ages ago. Couldn't pass up those $5.95 boxes of Aguila.

I'll go dig up the old "Bass Pro Shops" thread I started several years ago.

Bass Pro Shops: No Online Ammunition Sales to Pittsburgh or Philadelphia

By Johannes Paulsen on January 27, 2015
    ^^^this.

I had a basspro gift card and couldn’t use it because I wanted to buy ammo and they wouldn’t ship to philly. The illegal ordinance is most likely what they are going by. I just simply shop elsewhere. Last I checked, you can still order ammo from cabelas so I guess bass pro corporate hasn’t spread too deep to cabelas yet.

Do you still have the Bass Pro gift card? Nowadays you can exchange it for a Cabela's gift card. Do that for any Bass Pro GC you have, or any you might get in the future. Then use that and shop at Cabela's instead.

I have purchased much ammo from gun shows, even a few hundreds of those scary armor-piercing M2 AP rounds, also with no issues.

This is the first case of "no ammo for YOU" that I've seen since I posted about Bass Pro back in 2014.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

    FWIW,

I live in a non-permissive environment Fortunately, my dealer allows me to ship firearms related "stuff" to him, and he's well out of the range of Philadelphia, so whatever triggered, as it were, the AgeCheck requirement did not have to do with shipping address, but more probably residence address, although follow-up with LG indicated that it had nothing to do with either, but rather making certain that they were conforming to the "law." Can't change the history.

I appreciate all of you all responding,

18 Pa. Stat. and Cons. Stat. Ann. § 6302 looks like Commonwealth of Pennsylvanian law to me.

Over the years I have come across a couple of sites that required creating a membership including date of birth. That way, they had on record that the purchaser was responsible for any falsehood on any age-sensitive matters. It may be that that system failed a legal challenge in some transaction. Or their legal eagles came up with it to earn their dues.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
