I Feel the Need for a Sacrificial Rifle
Seeing as things are getting deeper I want to obtain something that I won't mind losing should I get arrested during a rally. What I have now is not an option to have turned into scrap during a confiscation. Looking for suggestions or if anyone has anything that's pretty scrappy that they could sell cheap that would be great too. Whether or not it functions properly isn't really an issue if it's cheap.

Re: I Feel the Need for a Sacrificial Rifle
Not knowing how much you want to spend or specifically what kind of rifle you want, when I wanted a rifle for similar reasons, that I wouldn't hate losing, I bought an M&P sport 2.
That is also the one I chose to carry in Pittsburgh, the other day. I think it is a very nice basic rifle for under $600, and mine is pretty damn accurate too, for my purposes anyway.

M&P 15/22. Looks just like an AR but it's cheaper.

Re: I Feel the Need for a Sacrificial Rifle
The 15/22 also is mostly polymer so it weighs less than an AR. At a rally you're not actually expecting battle (and 25 rounds of .22 is FAR better than nothing), so why carry a full weight rifle for looks?
My "carrying it around a bunch" rifle has a polymer one piece lower by Cav Arms, paired to an upper with a lightweight profile barrel. I don't think they presently make that lower anymore, which is giving me pause for similar reasons you mention.
Might have to bring the 15/22 to the next rally.
